Personally, I find them quite disturbing when looking at them so close like this, but other than that they're so cute with their vibrant colors and fairy wings and fluttering around without a worry in the world...

ummm...1:1, what do you mean by that? Well I had to stalk them, spend long periods of time in awkward, sometimes painful positions while trying not to scare them off and trying to focus on top of all that but they were somewhat cooperative. At least in the standing still part. :aww: And, thanks A LOT fot the feature! :heart:

1:1 magnification. It means that the thing you photograph will be the same size on your sensor as in real life. It generally applies to macro lenses.

I thought you meant that, but I wasn't sure. I guess it is ...I used a macro extension tube on 50mm lense, if that helps you in any way?

It was probably close. When ever I do macro, I just focus my lens to 1:1 and move into the thing I want to photo until its in focus. It can be difficult when photographing a bug. Most of them are shy.

Oh I get it, I do that too. Sometimes I get so annoyed with auto focus, omg!! You just have to find your own way :P Bugs are really difficult to shoot, I have an ambition to capture one of them in movement, like bee in flight or something like that. Alltough I believe that you need a certain amount of luck to get that right.
